After analyzing crime statistics in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, the California State Auditor found that the percentage of individuals with four or more convictions who reoffended increased after Prop 47 by 12% and the frequency of theft convictions among those with four or more convictions increased after Prop 47 by 14%.

The League of California Cities (Cal Cities), representing 476 cities and 80% of Californians, have voiced their support of Yes on Proposition 36, the campaign to hold repeat retail theft offenders and serious drug traffickers accountable while incentivizing drug treatment for those with serious addictions. San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria this week also announced his support of Proposition 36 joining other big city mayors from San Francisco, San Jose, Fresno and Santa Monica.
